Ron Miller, who specializes in science, astronomy and science fiction, has not only illustrated scores of books and book jackets for major publishers, but has created more than a dozen fully illustrated books of his own. His best known book, “The Grand Tour” which he co-authored, is described as “a beloved classic” by the Planetary Society. It has been translated into numerous languages and has recently been reissued with 160 new paintings.

Ron also produces editorial art—frequently for top news and science magazines such as Newsweek, Scientific American, Geo and Natural History. His extensive library of stock imagery is utilized by both magazine and book publishers around the world. See CONTACT US.

He has applied his considerable talents to such diverse projects as commemorative U.S. postage stamps, a mural map of Jules Verne's fictional voyages (for a German pub), production art and design for feature films (Dune and Total Recall), and a coffee table book on the life and art of space art grand master, Chesley Bonestell.

Most recent projects include an award-winning series of 11 books about the solar system, a 4-book history of rockets and space travel for young adults, and a documentary based on his book, “The Grand Tour.”
